Against the slowing growth of emerging economies, uncertain economic outlook of US, especially deepening European debt crisis background, keeping growth needs to find a new growth engine which is from new energy.

Deputy director of the NPC Financial and Economic Committee He Keng told journalists, there are three periods in the past one 200 years of economic growths: one is the industrial revolution after  the invention of steam engine, the two is electrical era after the discovery of electricity, the other is the information age after the invention of the computer in. Now some of the characteristics of the information age has slowly faded. European and America were searching for what is the technical engine for supporting economy growth. But now both of them insist it is new energy.

The deputy director Li Zuojun who is the State Council Development Research Center of Resources and Environmental Policy Research Institute said in an interview, every economic crisis will trigger a revolution in technology, this time is no exception. This technological revolution is likely to make breakthrough in three aspects of new energy namely new energy technologies, energy saving and environmental protection technology and IT technology. The new energy technology breakthrough are more likely get breakthrough. The new energy has the market demand and international supporting and techniques input.

Li Zuojun thinks, the development of new energy industry is likely to become a major issue at the G20 summit. Similarly, in the just concluded Rio Summit in, the new energy industry has become the focus of international attention. Not only the national champion new energy enterprises arrived, but there are flying show of E-195 jet aircraft manufactured by Azul Airline of Brazil Aviation Industry Corp's showing  its power. All of this shows the new energy will become the new favorite of the world and is facing great developing opportunity. How and what will Chinese New Energy do to get a margin against this background?   

Shen Hongwen who is acting as the consultant in new energy industry researcher said in an interview, the major point is to solve our national inner questions of new energy, namely reasonable enterprise outlook, eliminating the backward capacity, building the big capacity and efficient energy plant.

Shen Hongwen said, China should accelerate the pace to adjust the industry structures to face the upcoming opportunity. He also suggested, we should enlarge the capital invest, research core equipment, master vital knowledge property right, connect with the foreign techniques, adjust the supply demands relations, speed up the commercialization of techniques and products, compete & corporate with the foreign main markets. China should devote in the weak R & D segment and expedite the commercialization of new technology , such as new energy automobile production.

"At present, the development of new energy in China has made some achievements. China must grasp the established advantages and enlarge further before the upcoming opportunity. For example, cost advantages, techniques advantage, zone advantage, etc. And then searching our standing in international labor division in the survival of fittest of market. " Li Zuojun said.
